Reporters for the disposal of nuclear test sites, headed to Wonsan by government transport aircraft today.



A South Korean joint military delegation to cover the North`s nuclear test site will visit the North on Wednesday by air transport aircraft from the South Korean government.

Regarding the schedule of South Korean reporters to visit the North, Unification Ministry spokesman Baek Tae-hyun said in a regular briefing that he would leave Seongnam Airport for Wonsan at 12:30 p.m. today.

" It is expected that he will return with the reporters from other countries who visited the North (via Beijing), " Baek said.

He said, “East Sea direct air route decided.” about the carrier to use the route.

Earlier in the day, North Korea received a list of eight reporters from the South's joint press corps who would cover the site of the dismantlement of the Punggye-ri nuclear test site through the liaison channel at the truce village.

Regarding the North`s sudden acceptance of the list, Paik said, " I have not said anything about it in the North, " adding, " I am glad that the list was received belatedly. "

Meanwhile, foreign correspondents from the U.S., Britain, Russia and China have already entered Wonsan from Beijing on the previous day to cover the event.

North Korea said in a Foreign Ministry press release on Wednesday that it is willing to allow the South, the United States, Britain, China and Russia to cover the Punggye-ri nuclear test site.
