Understanding Korean Overseas Koreans to Visit "Learning about overseas Koreans"
The first semester of this year's " visiting overseas Koreans ' understanding education " is being conducted by the Foundation for Korean Studies and College Students (Chairman Han Woo-seong) to further enhance understanding among Koreans overseas.
During the first two months of this year, 13 middle schools, 13 high schools, and five other high schools across the country will have their own interests trained on April 5.
The instructors, comprised of the foundation's employees, former diplomats, and professors, will discuss the background of overseas Koreans, the characteristics of local ethnic communities, cases of contribution to home countries and the importance of foreign residents in the global era.
Since 2012, the Visit Korea Foreign Language Education has given a total of 467 lectures to teach about the importance of overseas Koreans to about 70,000 middle and high school students and college students.
The visiting education programs will give young Koreans a proper understanding of overseas Koreans and provide them with an opportunity to understand each other, said Han Woo-sung, the company`s chairman. [Data : Overseas Korean Foundation]
